Our online ordering service is hosted on a secure-server, so you can be confident that when you send your details they will be held in a safe environment. Once our order has been processed the details are permanently removed from the website.
All orders are normally despatched to the delivery address that you supply within 10 days of receipt. If an item is temporarily unavailable for any reason or has a longer lead time, then you will be notified of the revised despatch date and given the opportunity to cancel your order. The Africa House use Royal Mail first class postage up to 2KG in weight. We would prefer customers to use Royal Mail Signed For Delivery so that orders can be traced.
For Christmas shopping, we urge all customers within the UK to use either Signed For Delivery or Special Delivery services to guarantee safe delivery. These option sare both available in the shopping basket postage selection options.
If you opt to use Royal Mail First Class mail we cannot be held responsible for the safe receipt of your order. In the UK any orders in excess of 2kg's will be sent by Parcelforce 48 hour service unless you specifically request an alternative means of delivery. Your credit card will be debited prior to despatch of your order.
* Parcelforce delivers parcels to UK mainland addresses up to 2 working days from dispatch. For Northern Ireland and all other UK Isle addresses 3/4 working days.
Delivery to countries other than the UK is available. Rates are stated in drop-down menus available in the shopping basket section of the check out process.
Supply of Goods
It should be noted that many of the items sold by The Africa House Limited are handmade. We will make every effort to ensure that the goods viewed on the website closely reflect those that are purchased by you. However, please bear in mind that each item purchased is unique and may differ slightly from the advertised product.
If you are not happy with your purchased goods we will exchange these or provide you with a full refund. Any discrepancies with the content of your order must be notified to The Africa House within 14 days of the order being received. We reserve the right to refuse replacement or refund if this term is not adhered to.
Due to the nature of our product range we are unable to guarantee the availability of products. If an item is no longer available, then you will be notified and given the opportunity to choose an alternative item or cancel your order.
The price you pay is the price shown in the checkout section of our website at the time you place your order. If an error in pricing occurs, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option to reconfirm your order at the correct price or cancel it. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.
We accept the return of all items only if they are returned within 14 days and in their original packaging and condition. Under these circumstances we will issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item. You will be responsible for the cost of the postage to return the goods. Any return received by The Africa House Ltd after 14 days will not be refunded. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Refunds will only be given after the returned item has been received and inspected. It is recommended that you use registered post or recorded delivery when returning goods.

Parcelforce UK Mainland 2 Day Delivery:
Delivery by Parcelforce to all UK mainland addresses. Maximum 2 day delivery from the COLLECTION date is guaranteed subject to there being someone at the address to sign for the package. Orders requiring this service must be received by 6.00pm on the evening prior to the despatch day. Online tracking is available
Parcelforce UK Offshore Isle Service:
Delivery by Parcelforce to UK Offshore Isle addresses. Delivery usually takes 2/3 working days. Online tracking is available.
Royal Mail Recorded Delivery service. This provides signed proof of delivery but no online tracking status.
Royal Mail Guaranteed Delivery:
This service provides a guaranteed next day delivery to 99% of the UK. Delivery is guaranteed in these cases by 1.00pm the following day. Orders using this service must be received by 3.00pm on the day of despatch. Oniine tracking service showing the order status is provided for this service. For any order placed on a Sunday using Royal Mail Guaranteed Delivery, despatch will take place on Monday for delivery to you on Tuesday.
