One Way provides a range of high quality kikoy wear to the East African tourist market. Products include the famous kikoy which is used for numerous purposes including sarongs, tablecloths, throws, shawls to name a few. The company also provides a range of accessories using kikoy materials including beach bags, bedspreads, clothing and other apparel. A range of embroidered and printed T-shirts for all ages are also produced and these are commonly found in tourist lodges, shops and airport duty free outlets around East Africa.

The company has been operating for 19years. Over 160 employees work in the production facilities based in Nairobi. Of these 49 people are employed in the embroidery and screen printing sections with the remainder focusing on stitching, cutting an designing work.
Cotton for One Way is largely produced in Kenya when supplies are available, by a project originally funded by GTZ, the German government's development agency. Best practice processes are used to process the cotton. For each unit purchased by One Way €50 cents is returned to an employees committee which provides loans and support for employees. The committee is totally autonomous with no management involvement.

Company employees enjoy a bright open working environment. Each employee is employed to work for 45 hours per week and are all provided with tea and lunch breaks. Emphasis on personal development through training is a priority at One Way.
Being a production operation, great emphasis on health and safety is made with aspects such as the provision of masks for all employees to prevent fibre inhalation being a standard practice.
